I don’t know if there’s anyway for us to explain how grateful we are for Lonesome Radio Heart. Not only are the members of the group some of the best people you could hope to find in the West, but their live set gave us hope to continue recording.

February 9, 2008 was a precarious moment in the Banana Stand’s history. Lonesome Radio Heart was only the second band we had ever recorded, and while the first band Tranquilazer was one of the best basement shows we’ve ever had, we felt we did a poor job recording their energy.

Without the positive influence of Lonesome Radio Heart this project might have never left the ground.

Hearing "Aleister’s Advice" makes me realize how long it’s been since I’ve had the privilege to see these fine people perform. But, you can bet we’ll have this entire set available for free download, along with many others on the new website.

We promise – it’s coming soon.

Oh, and if you’re wondering what Aleister’s advice is, you’ll have to ask Mr. Paul Culpepper. It could be to embrace the society of the occultists, understand the workings of the cosmos as a collective whole of modern mankind through an ether hallucination, become addicted to heroin, or start spying on America for the British Intelligence. Either way, you can’t go wrong.

We’re scheduling shows again! And we’re hitting the back-list catalog to get some long neglected shows from earlier in the year mixed down. So, keep checking back here each weekend for free, new tracks!

Thanks for supporting BananaStandMedia.com and please tell anyone you know loves free, live independent music about the site – it’s the best way to help us out right now!

Damn, this track is good. Pretty rad for the first set to ever come out of BSM.

Yeah all of the LRH tracks sound sick. They did a great job mixing. I think we just lucked into an awesome recording for them — second show we still had no real idea what we were doing.
